BLACK SIBYLS PROJECT
Become a Community Leader & Healer.
The Black Sibyls Project is now accepting applications for our 6-week fellowship.
We are looking for five young Black women (ages 15-20) who are passionate about holistic healing, food justice, and the future of North Minneapolis.
About the Fellowship:
This initiative is a first of its kind, taking students through the “school of life” to tranform how we envision our community’s future. Our mission is to support young activits through mentorship, hands-on learning, and direct investment.
Duration: 6 weeks (Sundays, June 28th - August 2nd)
Time: 12pm - 3pm every Sunday
Location: The Northside Community is our classroom, with site visits to Black-owned businesses and community gardens.
What You Can Expect:
Skill Building: Learn to cook plant-based meals, write project proposals, and organize community events like food drives and pop-ups.
Mentorship: Receive Guidance from mentors within your own community who share your background and offer access to ancient wisdom and relevant networks.
Professional Development: Gain experience in renting spaces. building community relationships, and creating digital media platforms.
Financial Investment: Receive a $500 stipend upon completion of the program, plus a $1,000 investment to start your own community project.
Support: We provide catered meals during every class and bus cards for transportation to those who need it.
