Mykela Jackson
Born and raised in South Minneapolis, Mykela’s healing journey began at the age of 19 when she transitioned to a 100% plant-based lifestyle. On this journey she found an innerstanding of the interconnectedness of the mind, body and spirit. Drastically growing in ways she didn’t know she could, Mykela was inspired to learn more about herself and the ways in which her community had been systemically oppressed through food, education and medical systems. It was down this rabbit hole that led her to a higher calling, which later revealed itself as Keikosx and the F.T.P Initiative. Two projects reclaiming what Black Culture & evolution looks like on the path to true liberation.
It’s deeper
than food.
Our mission is to create affordable and accessible health food systems within majority- Black communities in an effort to elevate the collective consciousness and combat the capitalistic food system and its consequences- food apartheid, Black land loss, diet-related illnesses, race-based wealth inequities and environmental degradation to name a few— while driving in REAL solutions. “We use art, food and intentional collaboration as tools to educate and empower BIPOC communities nationwide.”
Inform. Educate. Empower.
Keikosx: Alkaline Bodega & Herbs was created to mobilize Black communities with healing products and education in alginment with Dr. Sebi’s African Bio Mineral Balance. We offer services that inform the People of our current disposition, Educates them on holistic healing and Empowers them with the tools to liberate themselves and their community. Our work aims to decolonize Black American culture by reclaiming our ancestral knowledge and traditional practices.
