What foods contain essential minerals?
Minerals are vital components of our food. They fulfill a wide variety of functions, such as building materials for our bones, influencing muscle and nerve function, and regulating the body's water balance. They are also components of hormones, enzymes and other biologically active compounds in the body.
It is estimated that 92% of Americans are mineral deficient and this is primarily due to the standard American Diet which is comprised of meat, dairy and processed foods. This unbalanced diet is high in sugar and calories but lacks the proper nutrients to fuel cells.
Doctors may prescribe patients oxide supplements but our bodies need fluorine-containing compounds that come from natural plant life. All of the nutrients you get from meat & dairy is a byproduct from the veggies and fruits that those animals eat. Plants metabolize minerals for human consumption by absorbing them through their roots and converting it into food via photosynthesis. The cellular juice that will be consumed from the plant is how we get our minerals.
There are major minerals which our bodies need larger amounts of and trace minerals which we need less than .02% of but they ALL play important roles in sustaining your optimal health. Wherever dis-ease arises there is a mineral deficiency contributing to it.
